I visited Burnley Wood this week for the first time since before Christmas.
I had arranged to meet with your neighbourhood policing team but I arrived a bit early so took a drive round the area.
I pulled up on Oxford Road, opposite the church, and realised that this was one of the streets due to be demolished.
What caught my eye though, were the big blue circular transfers that had been attached to the boards covering up the empty windows along that stretch of road.
Anyone else seen them?
I took some photos as I thought it was encouraging to see what comments have been made about the area by people of the area, and that the rest of Burnley Wood community needed to see them.
The 'Peer Plaques' were created and erected by the Burnley Public Arts Project, who are going to be looking at filling soon-to-be-empty spaces with public artwork.
Civic Architects, London are working in partnership with Burnley Council and ELEVATE and others on this project.
Anyway, there are going to major changes in Burnley Wood soon but in the meantime, have a look at what your community has to say.
