A few weeks ago, there was an issue with youths congregating and partying on some allotments.
I was chatting to PC Roger Morris about our community website project and he told me about this incident and asked if it would be suitable.
Apparently about 100 young people had been discovered at a 'rave' on allotment land, which according to PC Morris is quite a substatial place.
The police took loads of calls from residents about the incident and about previous smaller 'raves' that had been taking place.
Once the police found out, the Clitheroe company who owns and leases the land was contacted.
They issued their tenant for the plot with a warning regarding the activities. This was immediately nipped in the bud.
Also, according to PC Morris, the tenant in question, voluntarily went back to the plot afterwards with abin bag and collected the rubbish he and his fellow 'ravers' had left behind.
So far there have been no more problems but to ensure that's how things stay, it requires the Hoddlesden residents to remain vigilant and report their concerns to their local policing team.
