THE minimum taxi fare in Hyndburn could rise by 50p with a £1 rise for Christmas and New Year trips.
Hyndburn Council cabinet will decide whether to approve the plan tomorrow after a request from the Hyndburn Taxi Association.
Hackney carriage drivers are asking for the minimum fare of £2 for 500 yards to increase to £2.50, and an increase from £2.50 to £3 for the same trip between midnight and 6am.
