THE second leg of a snooker tournament in memory of a popular Darwen councillor will be held later this month.
And the winners will take home a 16-inch silver trophy which was created to honour Fred Slater, who died aged 63 in 2006.
Members of Darwen Conservative Club members clubbed together to create the trophy for the tournament, which began last September against Hoddlesden Conservative Club and Hollins Grove Conservative Club.
Hoddlesden are leading from the first leg.
The second leg will take place on April 18 at Hoddlesden Conservative Club from 7.45pm.
