AN inquest has been opened into the death of Sameer Vohra, who was killed in a car pile-up.
Mr Vohra, a 34-year-old father-of-four, was killed instantly when his silver BMW collided with an HGV, on the A59 in Samlesbury, on Thursday.
Opening his inquest today, coroner Michael Singleton said Mr Vohra had been travelling towards Clitheroe when his car veered across the carriageway and collided with a Daf HGV.
The female passenger of the BMW was airlifted to Royal Preston Hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.
Mr Singleton adjourned the inquest until April 8, when a date will be fixed for a full hearing.
