A MOTHER and daughter team are heading up a ceramic cafe in Barnoldswick's 'The Rainhall Centre'.

The catering and pottery business Pots of Love' at the enterprise and community resource centre, is the brainchild of Lindsay Gregory and Shelley Hodgson.

The niche cafe offers people the chance to paint a pot of choice from an extensive collection and enjoy homemade refreshments at the same time.

Jennene Whiteley, project development manager for West Craven Together; the regeneration partnership responsible for project, said: "The Ceramic Cafe is a wonderful addition to the creative industries and fits perfectly with what WCT is trying to achieve in the area.

"It is a new start up business and a tourist attraction all in one. It is also more than appealing to local people and will be available for private group bookings upon request."

The ceramic cafe will be open Monday to Friday from 10 am until 4 pm and at the weekends upon request.

The Mayor of Pendle, Coun Allan Buck, will be on hand for the grand opening next Saturday, April 5, along with fresh coffee and cakes.

There will also be an arts and crafts fair in the main hall with a variety of gift cards, hand-made handbags and much more along with an exhibition by Pendle Arts Group.
