AN UNDERCOVER police operation to crack down on street level dealing of Class A drugs in Blackburn resulted in two brothers being jailed.
Gavin Lewis, 29, of Yates Street, Chorley, got two years and Paul Lewis, 32, of the same address, got nine months when they appeared for sentence at Preston Crown Court.
Gavin Lewis admitted being concerned in the supply of heroin on June 25 and supplying heroin on July 18 last year.
Paul Lewis admitted being concerned in the supply of heroin on July 18 when he helped his brother obtain the drug.
Recorder William Waldron QC said he accepted both had pleaded guilty and there was no commercial gain.
They were caught when they assisted someone they thought was another user, but was in fact an undercover police officer.
Gavin Lewis was jailed for two years and his brother was jailed for nine months.
