At their latest social event Rishton and Great Harwood Soroptimists enjoyed An Evening with Spellbound'. Gordon and Anne of Spellbound Productions live in Bolton by Bowland and have been film making for over thirty years.
Their first film was a local film about the Ribble Valley and was so successful that it was promoted by the Tourist Board and this prompted them to make another film and it was this second film Spellbound in and around the Ribble Valley' that opened the evenings viewing.
The next film concentrated on Bill Bailey and his Wild Boar Park at Chipping. The close ups of the animals and birds at the park was exceptional and one can only imagine how many hours must have been spent waiting to get the right shot.
The evening was rounded off by A Collectors Lot' which was a short funny animation film about a collection of bottles and jam jars.
Spellbound already have an extensive selection of films that they use in their film shows with many more ideas that have yet to go into production. However as Gordon explained even the shortest, simplest film can take months to produce in order to make sure that they achieve the perfection that they are looking for.
