An exchange student from Ukraine is looking for a host family in Bury to stay with during an internship.

Anastasiia Mainhard will be arriving in Bury on July 26 and will be staying for until the end of September while studying.

She is an intern with Southwestern Advantage, an entrepreneurial programme, working with families and young university students wanting to learn about leadership.

The outfit also has 15 other interns working and living in Greater Manchester, selling educational apps, books, and systems.

Oliwia Obielecka, one of their programme managers, said: "This is especially important after the Covid-19 period - we have noticed that kids loved home schooling because of free time and comfortable lessons.

"But they are a little bit worried it’s going to be difficult to catch up with everything when they come back to schools.”

Anastasiia will be working 12 hours a day and is willing to pay for utilities.

Anyone interested to give her a place to stay during her time in the UK can message her on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/anmainhard
