A BAKERY is calling on people in East Lancashire and beyond to help decide on a new flavour for its pie range.
Holland's Pies, based on Manchester Road, Baxenden, near Accrington, has made the appeal in order to expand its 'Family Pie' range and are also offering the chance to win free pastries.
Participants will be able to suggest new flavour's via the company's Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.
Holland’s Pies brand manager Leanne Holcroft said: "Our Family Pie range has proven to be a huge hit since we launched it last year, so we’re excited to be giving our fans the chance to help us in coming up with a delicious new flavour that the whole family can enjoy."
The Hyndburn company has been began as a baker's shop in 1851 and has been well known to local shoppers ever since.
It now employs over 250 people and bakes over 1.2 million pies every week.
The pie range already includes potato and meat, minced beef and onion and mature cheddar cheese and onion, with Holland's Pies hoping that the new flavour will end up becoming just as well established.
Ms Holcroft said: "We’re open to all suggestions, but the flavour suggestions must consider the scrumptious sides it could be served with.
"Will it be something fans can douse in gravy, lavish in ketchup, serve with a side salad or pile high with chips?
"Who knows, but we’re certainly eager to see what our loyal fans come up with!"
The competition will be open until June 27.
