YOUNGSTERS stepped back in time to enjoy a day beside the seaside.
Bolton School's Year Two children took part in a Victorian seaside workshop, finding out which holidays were popular in the 1830s.
They learned that Blackpool was the best place to go to.
Pupils had a chance to use beachside equipment from the time, including putting up a deckchair — which wasn't quite as easy as it looked.
A spokesman for Bolton School said:"The children discovered facts about Victorian holidays and learned about penny licks and bathing machines before enjoying an amazing Punch and Judy show which made them giggle."
