A MAN from Bolton has died following an incident on the A590 in Cumbria on Saturday afternoon.
Police were called to an incident on June 12, where a 68-year-old had been driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee near Newby Bridge.
The driver is understood to have suffered a serious medical episode at the wheel and his wife in the passenger seat had to take control of the vehicle.
Police in Cumbria have now confirmed that despite medical intervention, the driver of the vehicle, Peter Jones, 68, from Bolton, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The front-seat passenger - a woman in her 60s - was uninjured.
