WARRINGTON Wolves bounced back from their Challenge Cup exit with a routine Super League win over Wakefield Trinity.

Josh Charnley returned to form with a hat-trick of tries at The Halliwell Jones Stadium in a game in which Wire were largely dominant.

Gareth Widdop impressed once again, scoring the game's opening try and kicking seven goals from as many attempts.

Ben Currie and Jake Mamo scored The Wire's other tries as they closed the gap on the sides above them in the table.

Wakefield's tries came from David Fifita, Joe Arundel and Lee Kershaw.
