HERE are five cases which were recently heard, or due to be heard, at Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Magistrates' Court:

- A TWENTY-FIVE-YEAR-OLD man accused of possession of cocaine and heroin will appear in court later this month.

Sam Evers, of Napier Street, St Helens will face the magistrates' court on June 21.

He is charged with possession of cocaine and possession of diamorphine on June 6, 2020.

The case was adjourned until June 21 for a plea to be entered.

- A DRUG driver was banned from the road for 12 months.

Alex Bacon, of Windleshaw Road, Dentons Green pleaded guilty to driving on November 8 last year with Delta-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol, a cannabis ingredient, in his blood.

Bacon, 26, was also fined £120, made to pay a £34 surcharge and £85 in costs to the CPS.

- A MAN who had cannabis in his possession was fined.

Jake Edwards, of Clock Face Road, Clock Face admitted to having the Class B drug on him on January 16.

Edwards, 22, was fined £166, made to pay a £34 surcharge and £85 in costs to the CPS.

- A MAN who admitted to two assaults will be sentenced.

Steven Tudge, of Manville Street, Peasley Cross pleaded two guilty to two counts of assault by beating of a female.

Tudge, 31, committed the assaults on February 2 and 27 this year.

He was given conditional bail and will appear for sentence on Monday, June 14.

- A MAN who has admitted to motoring offences and possession of two knives in St Helens will be sentenced next month.

Sammy Mahmoud, of Cleveland Road, Manchester pleaded guilty to six offences committed on April 5.

These included driving without insurance; without a licence; without a test certificate; failing to provide a blood sample; possession of a kitchen knife and possession of a large hunting knife on Ramford Street, Parr.

The case was adjourned until July 6 for a pre-sentence report.

Mahmoud, 23, was given unconditional bail until then.
