AN old mill that has previously been targeted by arsonists is up for sale.

Spa Mill in Spa Road is being sold via an online auction, which ends on June 23.

A guide price is currently set at £225,000 plus.

The five-storey former mill building extends to approximately 16,587 sqft. and has previously been set alight by vandals.

In 2019, firefighters tackled a basement blaze which was believed to have been caused by a rubbish fire set by someone attempting to stay warm.

And a suspected arson attack saw the mill go up in flames in 2014.

The building is situated opposite Queen's Park and a five minute stroll from the town centre.

It has been empty for a number of years, with boarded up doors and windows complemented by a healthy amount of weeds and plants spouting from the building.

The property previously had planning consent for change of use from existing office building to 32 self contained apartments with the demolition of the rear annex to provide parking, cycle storage and other associated works.

Bidding for the building will begin on June 22.
