The scene near Simister Island
EMERGENCY services are at the scene following a collision on the motorway.
One has been closed due to a collision on the M62, on the roundabout at Junction 18 near Simister Island, which happened around 9.30am this morning.
A Highways England spokesperson said: "The #M62 on the roundabout itself at #J18 (#SimisterIsland #M60 #M66) one lane has been closed due to a collision. Traffic officers & @NWAmbulance are currently at the scene."
A North West Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We currently have an ambulance on the scene. We haven’t taken any patients to hospital yet."
Greater Manchester Police has been contacted for further details.
