VOTERS went to the polls in Warrington’s all-out elections yesterday, Thursday.
Political parties and the public are eagerly awaiting the results following a unique election campaign amid the coronavirus pandemic.
But they will have to wait until tomorrow.
As scheduled, the election counts will take place over the weekend at Birchwood Leisure and Tennis Centre.
The borough council election council will take place on Saturday, with results to be declared throughout the afternoon.
The count for the Warrington votes in Cheshire’s police and crime commissioner (PCC) election will also take place at the site on Saturday.
However, the result of Cheshire’s PCC election will officially be declared at the DCBL Stadium in Widnes on Saturday. It is expected at around 5pm.
Furthermore, Warrington’s parish council elections count will take place on Sunday.
The Warrington Guardian will be reporting live from Birchwood Leisure and Tennis Centre as the results are announced over the weekend.
Follow our coverage, as well as pictures from the count, on our website throughout the weekend.
