A convoy of wind turbine parts half a mile long had to be escorted into East Lancashire on Thursday night.
The huge line of HGVs carrying the turbine parts were escorted by the police from the M62 all the way to Oswaldtwistle so a burnt out turbine could be replaced.
Leaving at 9pm, it took until just after midnight to reach its final destination.
A spokesperson for the police said: "This half mile long convoy of wind turbine parts had to escorted from the M62 to Oswaldtwistle overnight to replace a burnt out turbine from 2020.
"It set off at 9pm arriving at just after midnight.
"Police and traffic management tried to keep disruption caused to a minimum.2
