FIRE crews were called after a van was deliberately set on fire in a car park off Wigan Road, Leigh, at 12.30am on Tuesday morning.
No one was injured during the incident, but the Peugeot van was badly damaged and was written off.
Firefighters remained at the scene for an hour.
Watch manager Fairhurst said: "We were called at half past midnight to a van fire in a car park off Wigan Road.
"The van was set fire in what looked like a deliberate targeted attack.
"We were there for around an hour. The van was a write off due to the damage, the fire started in the front compartment but had spread to the back.
"Police were also called to the incident."
