A MAN has been arrested for possession of drugs after failing to outrun police.
The 29-year-old was driving through Chorley on the evening of Monday April 19 when officers noticed him and gave chase.
He then abandoned his car and attempted to escape on foot.
A police spokesperson said: "The male abandoned the vehicle and unfortunately for him his athleticism wasn't up to scratch as he was detained nearby.
"He was arrested for being a disqualified driver and unfortunately for him his hiding abilities were extremely poor as he left the controlled drugs in the glove box.
"Not only this but he had a number of snap bags and a set of scales.
"All pointing towards a classic drug dealer."
