POLICE were called after a drunken male was seen banging on a door and shouting threats.
Blackburn magistrates heard when the officers arrived they found Kristian Moon sitting at a bus stop with a can of beer in each hand and clearly drunk.
Moon, 35, of Spring Street, Rawtenstall, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in Leyland Road, Burnley. He was given a conditional discharge for 12 months and ordered to pay £22 victim surcharge.
Leigh Morgan, prosecuting, said when officers arrived at 3pm Moon said he had done nothing wrong and started shouting and swearing at them.
"His abusive language was alarming members of the public who were crossing the road to avoid him," said Ms Leigh.
Moon, who was not represented, said his grandfather had died in February and he had taken it badly.
"I started drinking and didn't really know what I was doing," he said.
"I am now in touch with Inspire, I am getting bereavement counselling and I have started back at work."
