Police are worried about a woman who told two teenage boys that she was lost and couldn't find her way home.

On Saturday afternoon, officers in Burnley say they were contacted by two teenagers who had been approached by the woman (pictured).

Despite police not detailing whereabouts in Burnley the youths came into contact with the woman, they did say that the two youngsters helped take her to a place she claimed she was familiar with.

Officers are now appealing to anyone who may recognise the image of the woman to get in touch.

A spokesperson for the police said: "Police are appealing to this female or anyone who knows this female to please contact ourselves.

"It is in relation to a report that has come into the police from two teenage boys who have located this female who stated to the two teenagers she was lost and couldn't find her way home.

"The teenage boys have helped her to a place where this female has stated she knows where she is, however we would still just like to make sure she is okay.

"This is just due to the concerns that have been reported by the two boys.
