A WOMAN is in a serious condition in hospital after she was hit by a car.
A police appeal has now been launched following the incident, which happened at around 8.15am on Thursday when a Volvo XC90 collided with a woman who was crossing Vivary Way in Colne.
The 76-year-old suffered head and pelvic injuries and remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Sgt Lee Harris said: “We need anyone who may have seen what happened to make contact as they could assist with our investigation. “If you witnessed this collision or were in the area and your vehicle is equipped with a dash cam, please make contact with us at your earliest opportunity.” Anyone with information can call 101 quoting incident reference 254 of April 15th.
