A man from Bolton and a man from Oldham have been cleared of attacking a man near the University of Manchester.
Christopher Worden, from Old Road in Failsworth, and Mohammad Akram, from Plodder Lane in Farnworth, were accused of the attack in the early hours of the morning in November 2020.
The attack reportedly happened between 2.30am and 3am.
Worden, 56, and Akram, 54, pleaded not guilty to both counts at Manchester Magistrates’ Court.
But they have both been cleared after being found not guilty of the charge at Tameside Magistrates' Court.
