A DRUNKEN man who assaulted five police officers has been given a suspended prison sentence.
At Wigan Magistrates’ Court Ryan Hope, aged 33, of Gower Street, Farnworth, pleaded guilty to committing the offences in Wigan on January 11.
Hope was sentenced to 12 weeks in prison, suspended for 18 months and was ordered to abstain from drinking any alcohol for 90 days.
He must submit to monitoring to ensure compliance and was also ordered to participate in 90 days of rehabilitation activities.
Hope was ordered to pay one of his victims £150 in compensation and the other four officers £75 each and must also pay £85 towards prosecution costs and a £132 victim surcharge.
