A car abandoned by its driver after spotting police in Great Lever has been seized.
Police say a black Ford Focus spotted officers in Westbourne Avenue before quickly driving away, narrowly missing another police patrol.
A resident then helped police track down the driver, after they spotted the car close by, in Lynsted Avenue, Great Lever, where the car was abandoned.
The car was then seized, according to police.
A GMP Traffic spokesman, said: "The Focus sighted officers in Westbourne Avenue, Bolton, and immediately took off narrowly avoiding a passing divisional patrol.
"Thanks to a eagle eyed resident who spotted the car being abandoned only a couple of streets away we located it on Lynsted Avenue — seized."
