A CARE service company has expanded and opened a new office in Bury.
Alcedo Care Group new location is on Walshaw Park House on Walshaw Road.
Strengthening its presence in Greater Manchester, Alcedo has invested more than £200,000 in the new office and the company plans to recruit more than 150 carers this year.
The Bury office will start with a team of 20 administrative staff and carers, enabling Alcedo Care to offer the high-quality home care for which it is renowned to clients in Bury.
Alcedo Care is run by husband and wife Andy and Jo Boardman.
Managing director, Andy Boardman, said: “This year has started well and Bury is the latest location in the north west for a new office for the company, which will allow us to offer our award-winning services to clients in the area.
“The demand for high-quality home care continues and our comprehensive range of services not only meets the needs of our existing clients in Bury, but also appeals to potential new clients in this demographic area too.
"It also brings job creation to Greater Manchester with an initial team employed at the office and additional carers required throughout 2021.”
The office in Bury brings the total number of Alcedo Care offices in the north west to eight, complementing the existing offices in Southport, Blackpool, Preston, Lancaster, Liverpool, Wigan and St Helens.
