POLICE in Bolton seized a car suspected of being stolen earlier today.
Officers from Greater Manchester Police's Bolton North neighbourhood team was found to be displaying false registration plates.
Fraudulent use of a registration plate can lead to a hefty fine or even more stringent punishment for offenders.
The car, a black BMW, was seized in Larkfield Grove, Tonge Moor.
The incident was reported on Greater Manchester Police's Bolton North Facebook page.
A spokesman said: "Officers from the #BoltonNorth Neighbourhood Team have seized this car from Larkfield Grove, #TongeMoor this afternoon. It has been seized on suspicion of being stolen as the vehicle was displaying false registration plates.
