A TEEANGER has been taken to hospital after she was hit by a car.
The emergency services, including an air ambulance, were called to Moor Road in Chorley this afternoon following reports of a serious accident.
Officers had to close the road in both directions for several hours as paramedics dealt with a teenage girl, who had been struck by a vehicle.
She has been taken to hospital and the road has now re-opened.
An CCTV appeal has now been launched.
A police spokesman said: “Moor Road Chorley has now reopened after a road traffic collision earlier today.
“If you witnessed this and haven't spoken with us, or have any dash cam footage of the incident, please contact us on 101 with log ref 0989 of the 20/02/2021.
“Thanks for your patience.”
