THE BLACKBURN Bus Company has announced it is making changes to some of its timetables from January 18.

The company says that the 1, 24, 6B and 7B lines will all see slight changes.

These are intended to be temporary, with the national lockdown meaning that fewer people are travelling. 

The 1, Blackburn to Darwen and then Bolton.

This line will see stand and timetable changes to some Monday to Friday journeys from Bolton due to conflict with others.

The 6 and 7,Blackburn to Great Harwood and Accrington

From January 18 the company will no longer be running the 6B and 7B school buses to St Wilfred's Church of England Academy due to very low passenger numbers.

Instead, in the morning students can catch a 7 into Blackburn Bus station arriving at 7.53am, and then take either a 4 or Hotline bus leaving at 8.05am which arrives at the school for 8.12am

In the afternoon for the return journey, there is a 4 at 3.33pm from outside the school to the bus station, arriving at 3.40pm or a Hotline at 3.39pm arriving at the bus station at 3.48pm.

When in Blackburn bus station they can catch a 6 at 3.51pm.

The 24, Blackburn to Chorley

From January 18 there will be additional Monday to Friday 7.10am and 5.10pm journeys from Blackburn to Chorley, and additional Monday to Friday 8.08am and 6.08pm journeys from Chorley to Blackburn
