It's not as busy as Manchester
If you think Manchester is too hectic and busy, then Bolton is the perfect inbetween.
The town is still vibrant with plenty of things to do but not so busy that you dread heading into the centre on a Saturday afternoon.

You can take plenty of undergraduate and postgraduate courses here and study everything from accountancy right up to theatre studies.

New measures are being brought in to improve Bolton's transport system.
Earlier this month, a brand new multi-million pound cycling junction opened up in the town centre.
There are also talks of developing a direct rail service from Bolton to London which would open up so many economic doors for Boltonians.

There are a lot of cultural monuments in Bolton.
Turton Tower was built in the Middle Ages and Smithills Hall is regarded as one of the best preserved manor houses in the North West.
