A MAN was stabbed in Breightmet on Wednesday evening after a fight broke out.
Police attended the incident on Monks Lane at around 6.20pm.
One man was stabbed and had been seriously injured, although his condition is not life-threatening.
Three men and a woman were arrested on suspicion of section 18 assualt.
Officers are appealing for information regarding the incident and enquiries are ongoing.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said: "Police were called at around 6.20pm to a report of a fight on Monks Lane in the Breightmet area with one man being left with a serious stab wound.
"Emergency services have attended and taken a man to hospital where his condition is described as serious but not life-threatening.
"Three men and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault.
"Enquiries are ongoing.
