BOLTON woman Kellie Hadfield is hoping to shed the pounds this January to support Bolton Hospice.
Kellie, 45, from Halliwell, has signed up to the hospice’s Biggest Loser fitness challenge, a 12-week coaching programme kickstarting this month.
Kellie, who has raised around £5,000 for the hospice over the years, aims to lose up to three stone on the sponsored programme.
She is completing the challenge in memory of her dad, who died at Bolton Hospice in 2015.
Kellie says: “As an only child one of the best things to happen was getting a bed for my dad at Bolton Hospice, and I am eternally grateful for that because all the wonderful staff and volunteers made things a little bit more bearable for myself and my mum during the worst time of my life, and they cared for my dad with total respect and dignity.
“I still miss him desperately every single day and I hope I can do him proud with this challenge.”
