CANCER Research UK is offering runners a discount on entry to the 2021 Race for Life in Blackburn.

The popular running event is set to return to Blackburn on June 23, with socially-distanced measures in place for participants.

This January, runners can claim 30 per cent off by using the code JAN2021.

The charity has predicted a £300 million drop in income over the next three years due to the Covid-19 crisis, which saw 400 Race for Life events cancelled in 2020.

Sarah Hunter, Cancer Research UK’s Event Manager for Blackburn, said: “The truth is, Covid-19 has slowed us down. But we will never stop and we are absolutely determined to continue to create better cancer treatments for tomorrow.

"Every step our scientists take towards beating cancer relies on our supporters.

"Our Race for Life events are open to all and we’re sending a heart-felt message to everyone to come together in 2021.”
