BURNLEY'S own Jordan North has finished second in this year's series of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.

This year's celebrities also included TV presenter Vernon Kay, broadcaster and journalist Victoria Derbyshire, star of stage and screen Shane Richie, Paralympic gold medallist Hollie Arnold MBE, Corrie icon Beverley Callard, ballroom dancer AJ Pritchard, author and podcaster Giovanna Fletcher, Olympic legend Sir Mo Farah CBE, soap star Jessica Plummer, west end star Ruthie Henshall and classical singer Russell Watson.

Jordan took on Iron Maiden as his final Trial to try and win stars for camp to provide desserts for the final dinner.

It was an endurance Trial and he had to be locked inside a cage for 10 minutes as snakes joined him. For every 2 minutes he endured he would win a star for camp.

The first 3 stars for desserts, the fourth star for a drink and the fifth and final star for a treat of his choice.

As he was placed in the cage, Jordan said: “Oh god, it’s a snake. Happy place. Happy place! I’m going to be drinking gin with Bev in Spain.”

Jordan managed to successfully complete the Trial.

Giovanna, Jordan and Vernon all sat down for a final meal together of their favourite food. They were over the moon and couldn’t believe their eyes as each meal arrived (starter, main, dessert and treat).

Giovanna had bruschetta, fish and chips, apple crumble with custard, red wine and chocolate.

Vernon had prawn cocktail, chicken and sweet potato mash, treacle sponge, cup of tea and sourdough bread with marmite and cottage cheese.

Jordan had prawn cocktail, corned beef hash, jelly/angel delight, Guinness and peanut butter cups.

Following their final trial Jordan finished runner up behind winner Giovanna Fletcher.
