THE only child of a ‘real hero’ has paid tribute to her late father.
Martin Bibby from Blackburn died from bowel cancer on November 3.
He was 68.
His daughter, Patricia Murphy, said that she will miss her dad and his passion for life.
She said: “I am devastated that my hero has been taken away.
“Dad was a kind, caring and loving man. He was true to himself and always told me and his grandkids how to be the best version of ourselves.”
Martin was a former joiner and would work at homes across East Lancashire fitting kitchens.
Patricia added: “People may have had a kitchen fitted from dad. There was never a job too small for him.
“He was a perfectionist and worked well with his hands.
“He loved going to the pub and his favourite tipple was a pint of smooth.
“Thanks to his best mates Geoff, and Mark who have been amazing. He will be missed by us all.”
