THE Bolton NHS Foundation Trust provides healthcare services for the local community and beyond.

These are funded from central government taxes and the trust always endeavours to provide the highest level of service and best possible care to its patients.

There are, however, many ways in which voluntary donations can provide that little bit more.

These include new pieces of medical equipment, little extras for patients and specialist training for staff to enhance their ability to deliver up to date care.

The charity often receives donations from grateful patients and relatives after receiving treatment.

Many donations are also received from the local business community, from the general public and from local community organisations. These donations have paid for many enhancements over the years.

They include a state of the art Coronary Care Unit, play areas for children, a jubilee garden for the elderly and medical equipment including ventilators, cardiac monitors and blood analysers.

To support the charity donations can be sent to Charitable Funds Department, Royal Bolton Hospital, Minerva Road, BL4 0JR.
