TWO friends, Joanie Sudall and friend Jill McFadden completed a 20k to raise money for East Lancashire Hospice.
The pair set a target of raising £1,000 but when completing the walk, they found they had raised an incredible £1,782.50 thanks to their friends and family.
Joanie said: “The walk went well considering that we’re getting on a bit and had a tough couple of years. I won’t let it hold me back though. Jill and I, and a lot of our friends and family know how much the hospice means to so many people in our community and we will continue to support them as much as we can.”
Leanne Green, events fundraiser for East Lancs Hospice said: “Lockdown didn’t stop Joanie and Jill taking on their own challenge to make sure the hospice still received donations and
I cannot thank the community enough for the support the hospice has received.”
