A BLAZE which broke out in Accrington led to a discovery of cannabis plants.
At about 2.15pm on Thursday five engines responded to a fire which broke out in Whalley Road.
The fire service called the police at 2.30pm who found a small number of cannabis plants at the address.
A spokesperson for the police said: “We were called by the fire service to reports of a fire at an address on Whalley Road in Accrington. Officers attended and a small number of cannabis plants were found inside the address. Enquiries are ongoing.”
A spokesperson for the fire service said: “Five fire engines and an aerial ladder platform attended. We were at the scene three and a half hours."
