ONE of Blackburn’s most prominent accountancy firms has announced it will be moving to a new home early next year.

Beever and Struthers, currently based on Richmond Terrace, will be moving to The Beehive business centre, based near the entrance to Shadsworth Business Park two miles from central Blackburn at the start of 2021.

The firm hopes that this move will allow it to maintain an easily accessible hub for Lancashire clients and for current and future staff.

Beever and Struthers executive partner Maria Hallows said: “We’re proud of our long-established links with Lancashire, and Blackburn in particular, and are determined to keep our work and team local to provide the best possible service for our clients.

"Our office space needs to suit the new ways we are all working, with increased flexibility and agility. We took the decision to leave our long-standing home for a new Lancashire hub at The Beehive.”

Along with the Blackburn office, the company maintains a head office in Manchester, works with 17 partners and employs about 200 staff in total.

The firm has operated in Blackburn since 1880 and has recently won new clients from across Lancashire including Tawd Valley Developments Limited, Romero Catholic Academy Trust, Raised Floor Solutions Limited, Farmhouse Biscuits Limited, Porter Lancastrian Limited, and Tom Martin & Co Limited.

It specialises in providing audit and assurance services to the UK social housing sector and also works with other sectors including charities, education, manufacturing, innovation, contractors and freelancers.

Ms Hallows said: "Relocating allows us to continue to deliver the five-star service our clients have come to expect from Beever and Struthers, whilst providing a much-improved working environment for current and future staff.

“We will move in on January 4 and look forward to exciting times ahead welcoming clients and colleagues to our new home.”
