A CHRISTMAS number one single is in the pipeline for musicians who have penned a song about three-year-old fighter Carson Adams. 

Blackburn music producers Chris Dewhurst and Andy Rose along with Miranda Myles who is also on vocals, collaborated to make A Candle for Carson, a track that reflects the tot’s battle with congenital heart disease.

Carson was born in Manchester in at 20 weeks he was diagnosed with CHD complex heart conditions. 

Carson is currently in Alder Hey Hospital in Liverpool battling for his life after being on life support twice over the past 100 days.

His mum Amylee, of Lindisfarne Avenue, Blackburn, said she hasn’t left his side and is asking for people to pray for her little boy.

She said: “Carson is still battling away. He is fighting and won’t give up. He has a bleed on the brain and he is on dialysis but he is still here, he won’t give up.”

Carson was born with the defects, his illness is incurable and he won’t be put on life support for a third time.

“We don’t know how it is going to go, he might not be here at home at Christmas, he is a fighter. He is so weak at the moment.

"Despite all hes been through and still going through he refuses to give up the fight. His strength to carry on is nothing but amazing he really is a true warrior. were all so proud of him!

"He is currently still in a critical condition and every day brings new challenges but as quoted by Father Gerard barry ... were theres life theres hope."

Carson spent his third birthday in Alder Hey and was christened on his hospital ward.
Amylee was told about her son’s illness when she was 20 weeks’ pregnant, during a hospital scan, and was offered a termination by doctors.

Members of the community have rallied around to support Carson and his family.

That’s why established musician, MC and producer Chris Dewhurst will be releasing the song in December to get into the Official Charts Top 40.

Chris, 36, said: “Carson’s story is a tragedy and the song reflects it. We sing about lighting a candle for him, hence the title of the song. 

“Any funds raised will go towards Carson and help with his quality of living.”

Chris said he has been pals with Carson’s dad Christopher West for years.

He said: “I want to help the family as much as I can, I write music, I have managed bands and I am determined to get this track to number one.”

Chris, who started his MC career in Monroe’s nightclub in Great Harwood, also adds a rap to the song.

He said: “The song has everything you need to make it a number one. It’s Christmassy and obviously it’s a tearjerker.

“When it’s released, we want the whole of Blackburn to get behind us and get it to number one. It can be done.”

Carson’s mum said: “I haven’t seen my little girls for ages, I haven’t left Carson’s side. I am missing them so much, they don’t want to come and visit me at the hospital. It’s a horrible time at the moment."

"I am so grateful for the support and grateful to Chris for making and dedicating the song to Carson. We would love to see it get to number one for him for Christmas. I hope people can pray for Carson and light a candle for him.”

The single will be released in December.
