CHORLEY coffee shop, Woodchats is donating 5p from every coffee and every piece of cake it sells this month to Derian House Children’s Hospice.
Ruth Phillips, who opened Woodchats in Clifford Street in 2012 and has built its reputation on her delicious afternoon teas and home-made cakes and jams, said: “We always try and support local charities.
“I was watching TV and saw an advert for Macmillan’s September coffee morning, which showed M&S donating 5p from cakes it was selling in support.
"I thought I could do something similar as I know how badly the pandemic has affected charities.”
