THE Mall Blackburn has unveiled a distinctly spooky competition this Halloween, giving shoppers the chance to go ghost hunting.

With the coronavirus pandemic curtailing most celebrations, Mall staff hope this prize draw, which sees customers hunt down ghostly displays in store windows and collect their names, will allow families to enjoy the occasion.

The most intrepid ghost hunters will have the chance to win shopping vouchers.

General manager Loraine Jones said: “We know Halloween will be different this year, but we wanted to do something that children can enjoy in a socially distanced way with the people they live with.

"The ghosts can be found in shop windows around the centre and they look fantastic.

“We hope shoppers really get into the spirit of it and help us banish these ghouls!”

Shoppers can help solve the mystery by entering the ghosts’ names online at The Mall’s ghost hunter portal, which is open until Sunday.

Everyone who takes part will be entered into a daily prize draw to win one of three Love2Shop vouchers, with one £10 and two £5 cards available each day.
