Police have released CCTV footage of the last known movements of a missing man in a fresh appeal to find him

Zbigniew Strzelczyk, 59, has been missing for almost two weeks, and officers investigating his disappearance are now asking people to take a good look at the footage, and for farmers to check their sheds and outbuildings in case he has sought shelter there.

Mr Strzelczyk walked out of Royal Blackburn Hospital at about 8.25am on October 16 and was last seen walking across Prospect Farm, off Bolton Road in the Bull Hill area of Darwen, around 4pm the same day.

There have been no sightings of him since then.

Lancashire Telegraph:

Det Ch Insp Derry Crorken, of Lancashire Police, said: “Zbigniew’s disappearance is very concerning for us.

“It is approaching two weeks since he was last seen and we have had no further sightings at this time.

“We are asking anyone who works in a pub, bar or shop in the Darwen, Blackburn and Accrington areas to remain vigilant and let us know if they see or have seen him.

“We are also asking people, especially farmers, to check sheds, garages and outhouses in the area in case he has sought shelter inside.

“Zbigniew may have appeared confused, or not known where he is.

"Please take a good look at his pictures – have you seen a man matching his description?

"If so please come forward with information.”

Lancashire Telegraph:

Mr Strzelczyk, who is from Clitheroe, is white, of slim to medium build with balding grey hair and a bruise beneath one of his eyes.

He speaks Polish and some English.

He was last seen wearing a dark brown leather jacket, black t-shirt with white dots and a tan belt.

He was also carrying a Booths carrier bag when he left the hospital.

Lancashire Telegraph:

Earlier this month Mr Strzelczyk’s family issued a plea for anybody with any information at all about his whereabouts to come forward.

His wife, Grazyna Strzelczyk, said: “Zbigniew is an adored husband and father and our hearts are breaking not knowing where he is.

“He walked out of hospital and we know he was seen in Darwen later that day, but we have no idea where he may have gone after that.

“We can’t put into words how worried we are about him.

"We are desperate for any information at all that can help us find him.

“If you think you may have seen him – even if you are not sure it was him – please let the police know.

"If you have CCTV or dashcam, please check it.

"You may have captured him and your information could be the one thing that helps us locate him.

"And to our beloved Zbigniew – please let us know where you are.

"Please come home safely. Prosze daj nam znac gdzie jestes i szczesliwie wróc do domu.”
