Two men were taken to hospital with stab wounds following an altercation between a group of people in Blackburn.

Police were called at 10:05pm last night (Wednesday, October 21st) to the report of a fight between a group of people on Hamilton Street, Ewood.

Police said, “During the incident, one man aged 24 suffered slash wounds to the head and hand, whilst a second man, 25, suffered slash wounds to his leg and back.

“They were both taken to hospital to be treated. Their injuries are not thought to be life threatening.”

Two men aged 51 and 20, along with a woman, 23, from Blackburn have been arrested on suspicion of assault (GBH) in connection with the incident. They remain in police custody at this time.
