A BOLTON man has admitted being in possession of a sawn off shot gun.
Appearing at Bolton Crown Court via video link from HMP Liverpool, Nicholas Hindle pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm which had been adapted so that it would fire two missiles without repeated pressing of the trigger.
Jane Dagnell, prosecuting, said the charge related to an incident where a number of firearms, including a silver revolver, and ammunition were seized by police officers at the end of September this year.
She said a forensic investigation of the other weapons was still ongoing and could result in further charges.
The 28-year-old, of Siemens Street in Horwich, is also charged with having the weapon having already served a five-year jail sentence.
The Honorary Recorder of Bolton, Judge Martin Walsh, told Hindle he will return to Bolton Crown Court on December 2 for sentencing.
