THREE more people in Bolton are reported to have died with coronavirus on yesterday, government figures reveal.

It brings the total number of people in Bolton who have died within 28 day of testing positive for Covid-19 over the last seven days to seven, a reduction of two on the previous week.

NHS England has also reported that a person who tested positive for coronavirus died at the Royal Bolton Hospital yesterday.

Over the past seven days a total of five people with the illness have passed away at the hospital, bringing the total number of deaths from Covid-19 there to 265 since the pandemic began.

Throughout the North West yesterday seven people died in hospitals with Covid-19, bringing the for the region's hospitals to 5,520.

In Bolton, official figures show that the number of people testing positive for coronavirus continue to increase.

Data released this afternoon reveals that a further 208 people from the borough were confirmed as having the illness in Monday.

Over the last seven days 1,328 people in the area have tested positive, an increase of 410 (44.7 per cent) on the previous week.
