A MAN caught carrying a kitchen knife in St Helens Road and Derby Street on July 4 has been ordered to do 200 hours of unpaid work.
At Wigan Magistrates’ Court Abdi Abullahi, ages 24, of Crescent Road, Bolton, pleaded guilty to committing the offence and failing to turn up to court for a previous hearing.
He was given a community sentence and, as well as the unpaid work, must participate in 20 days of rehabilitation activities and pay £180 in costs and charges.
