A WARRANT has been issued for an alleged thief accused of stealing more than £3,500 worth of garden furniture from a restaurant.
Police arrested a 35-year-old man in connection with the alleged theft from Porada, in Whitefield, on September 8.
But Stephen Cummings, of Honister Road, Moston, failed to appear before Manchester magistrates, who issued a warrant for his arrest.
The Italian eaterie has been closed since the start of the pandemic.
And the only clue to what is happening in future is a sign in the window saying the venue is due to reopen 'in the autumn'.
The restaurant building in Bury New Road has been in the same family since 1988.
