AN EIGHT-YEAR-OLD from Blackburn has had her long locks cut off and donated the hair to a ‘Wigs for Cancer’ charity.

Kenza Ali wanted to do something in memory of her grandma who died of cancer when she was younger.

Mum Shahida said: “We are all really proud of her. She misses he grandma every day and as she would always be taking of Kenza when she was a toddler.

“We asked her what she wanted to do and she thought it would be good to donate her hair to help someone else who is going through cancer.”

Kenza said: “I feel I am helping a young person who is going through a difficult time already. Losing their hair is a big thing, I am hoping what I am doing can benefit someone and make them smile again.”
